Topic of suggestion: Adding more immersive communications for the pilots.
Describe your suggestion: In the real star wars universe and the real world, pilots do a lot of communication. On the server, it's extremely basic and lackluster. It would be much more immersive to everyone, and add a lot more roleplay opportunity, if the typical "PTA CC111113" was replaced with "MIKE-2 Requesting Takeoff Clearance from AUX1. Patrol 1100ft. CC111113". Repcomm can then reply "Codes check out. Takeoff clearance granted, have a safe flight MIKE-2" additional chatter can be added if the pilot and repcomm wish, which would add to the immersion more. "MIKE-2 at 1100ft, beginning patrol" "Copy that MIKE-2, I see you on the radar at 1100ft". As well as during landings, pilots can notify the base and other pilots of their landing intention. "Anaxes traffic be advised, MIKE-2 landing on Runway/Pad 13/Cairo Pad x"
Additionally, pilot to pilot chatter can be added to bring more life into piloting, rather than seemingly mindless flying around in a military controlled airspace.
How would this benefit the server?: It would add more immersion to the whole server, and further enhance the roleplay and roleplay opportunities of pilots and republic command/shock. Taking off in a bona-fide space shuttle with three letters and a code always seemed silly to me.
Anything else?: Please make pilots great they have so much more potential

It's a nice idea and something I always wanted to do, as with knowing real-world aviation ATC terminology I wanted to make it as close as possible. The main problems that other Pilots may face are that it would be an overwhelming amount of things to learn and remember. Furthermore, when your in a ship the only way to communicate with other people is though binds as when flying around and typing in text 9 times out of 10 you end up crashing and you are unable to control the ship when typing. Finally, people could set up binds but with there being 16 different main landing places on the server it would be impossible for a single person to have them all set up, keep in mind on top of the 16 there going to need around another 4 for other things. Again, it is a nice idea but not something that can happen to the extent you suggested though I will be looking into making the PTAs more immersive.
